Crossfire Xpress 1600 and 3200 to Change the Name
November 2006You surely have known the process of ATI acquisition by AMD in previous time. Correlate with that, some ATI product name will be change because still bring ATi name inside. Some of the product, there is Crossfire Xpress 1600 and Crossfire Xpress 3200 chipset.
Crossfire Xpress 1600 (RD480) will change become AMD 480X Crossfire. As the information, this chipset have experienced twice name change. In first time release called Radeon Xpress 200 Crossfire. Then changed become Crossfire Xpress 1600, according to naming system of Radeon Xpress 3200. Now changed again become AMD 480X Crossfire. And the other name change ATI is Crossfire Xpress 3200 (RD580), the name will be changed become AMD 580X Crossfire.
Even the name of two chipset is changed, but the features is still the same like previous name.
