AMD Processor Rev G

AMD will announce the newest Revision G processor for the mobile processor type, namely Rev G Turion 64 X2, and CPU Mobile Sempron. This will become the starting points of the chip producer to change over to 65 nm production process, in producing the processors.

The New Processor is scheduled will be launched in second quarter of 2007. At this Rev G processor, will use the new core called 'Tyler', as the substitute of previous core called 'Taylor'. Compared to the Revise F platform reference, AMD Rev G (socket S1 with 638-pin) using 65 nm SOI (Silicon On Insulator) technology, and as addition support to DDR2- 800 memory.

AMD is also saying that Tyler 35 watt CPU will enhance the variation of model number for Turion 64 X2 Rev F-TL-XX. Beside the segment of dual core processor, AMD Rev G also will attend to processor single-core series with Sherman (25Watt) code name, as the substitution of AMD Sempron Mobile processor (code name: Keene), it's also will use the same model number scheme like Mobile Sempron.

The produce of next generation AMD Sempron Mobile processor will be started at third quarter of 2007. AMD also enhance that they will fully change all of the Turion 64 X2 and Mobile Sempron processor by using 65 nm technology process, started at the first quarter of 2008.
